Terms of service

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the WePix service, available at wepixapp.com: collecting, sharing and animating the photos of a private event.

By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms.

2. The service

WePix lets an organiser create an event album that guests join by QR code or by code, with no account and no app, to upload photos, find their own through face recognition, download them and take part in projected activities.

The service is provided as is. We aim for high availability without guaranteeing uninterrupted operation; maintenance is announced whenever possible.

3. Accounts

Sign-in happens through a code sent to your email address, or via Google. You are responsible for access to your mailbox.

One free trial is available per account. Accounts used fraudulently or abusively may be suspended; the public galleries of events already created remain accessible to guests.

4. Plans and payment

One-off plans are displayed inclusive of tax; professional subscriptions are displayed exclusive of tax. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never store card details.

A plan's quotas and durations are frozen on the event at purchase time: later changes to the price grid never affect an event already sold.

Options are purchased on a given event. Setting up activities is free; only running them is charged on plans that do not include them, and the option unlocks all of them.

Upon subscription cancellation or failed payment, creating new events is blocked at the end of the paid period; events already created continue their full lifecycle, and guest access to an ongoing event is never cut.

5. Right of withdrawal

You have fourteen days from your purchase to withdraw, without giving any reason (article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code). This right is available to consumers; it does not apply to professional subscriptions taken out for business purposes.

Because the service is supplied immediately, by ticking the box provided at payment you expressly request that performance begin before the end of that period, and you waive your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If you withdraw before full performance, you remain liable for the amount corresponding to what has already been supplied.

To exercise this right, write to support@wepixapp.com stating your name, your email address, the date of purchase and the event concerned. Any sum due is refunded within fourteen days, using the payment method used for the purchase.

6. The event and its guests

The organiser is responsible for the content uploaded to their album and for informing their guests. Moderation tools are provided (prior approval or immediate publication, removal, delegated moderators) and guests can report a photo, which is immediately hidden pending a decision.

Unlawful content is prohibited, in particular content infringing third-party rights, human dignity or the protection of minors. We may remove manifestly unlawful content and suspend the event or account concerned.

7. Your content

Uploaded photos remain the property of their authors. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence strictly necessary for hosting, processing (thumbnails, display derivatives, watermark where applicable), distribution within the album and download — nothing else: no commercial or advertising use, no model training.

Deleting a photo, an event or an account ends this licence, subject to technical purge delays.

8. Face recognition

Finding photos with a selfie relies on biometric processing described in detail in the privacy policy: explicit guest consent before any capture, the selfie is never stored, face prints are limited to the event and deleted when guest access ends.

9. Durations and deletion

Each plan defines a guest access duration then a retention duration for the organiser, shown before purchase. At the end of retention, the event's photos and data are permanently deleted; download reminders and a prior warning are sent to the organiser.

No recovery is possible after permanent deletion.

10. Liability

Our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damages and cannot exceed the amounts paid for the order concerned. The service relies on technical providers (hosting, payment, email delivery, face recognition) whose occasional unavailability cannot be attributed to us.

The organiser remains responsible for backing up their album by downloading it before the end of retention.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls, failing an amicable settlement, to the competent courts. For any question: support@wepixapp.com.
